In a bid to reclaim their status as Premier League contenders, Manchester United is targeting a significant Spanish acquisition this summer, according to an English press report.
So far, the Red Devils have secured two major signings: Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and French defender Lenny Yoro from Lille.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United is also keen on acquiring Spanish international Martin Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder who recently triumphed in the European Championship.
The English club believes that Zubimendi would be an excellent addition, especially if they fail to land Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s noteworthy that Zubimendi has been a major target for both Barcelona and Arsenal in previous transfer windows.
